Kassi & Derek’s wedding day can best be described in three words: love, laughter and tears.

At the end of September, one doesn’t typically think of cool, fall temperatures - but boy did we get them! And it was perfect. Their wedding day started off at Zion Chapel Methodist Church in Boody, IL, which was a super cool location for my husband and I because we got married at that church more than 11 years ago. And to make it even more awesome, they chose the same pastor we had as well. Small world, right? Anyway, back to Kassi & Derek :)

As usual for the wedding day, there’s a lot of hustling and bustling to make sure that every single detail is taken care of so that the bride & groom can relax and just focus on each other. Today was no different - even though Kassi wanted to be involved so everything went exactly how it needed to! :) Once the dress went on, the tears came and it was game on! After the ceremony and family photos, we headed off to a friend’s farm to do wedding party portraits (and we even had CORN! Which was a big deal!) Then it was off to the Macon Community Center, where the reception started! We all enjoyed amazing food, cake, laughs, tears. It was an incredible day.

Kassi & Derek, I am so happy that you both picked me to capture your wedding day. I feel like we are forever friends!!
