THE HAWKINS' | DECATUR IL WEDDINGS

I knew from the moment I met with Ashley & Bud at Starbucks last year that we would have a total blast on their wedding day - and we so did! I always get so nervous when I’m meeting a potential couple for a bridal consult - it’s like a job interview! But obviously it all worked out, right? :)

SEPTEMBER 22, 2018

I met up with Ashley while the girls got ready at the Residence Inn Hotel in Forsyth, IL, and then quickly whisked off to Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, IL where family and friends were quickly preparing the sanctuary for the ceremony. Weddings always get me choked up anyway, but even more so when I have the opportunity to see all of the effort that is put forth to ensure every single detail on a couple’s big day is not only taken care of, but done so perfectly.

After the ceremony, we headed off to the Macon County Fairgrounds to the Pride of the Prairie building for their reception. I knew these two had a large community of support behind them as the day went on, but it wasn’t until the reception where I heard from best friends, family, and so many more people who wished them well during speeches, approached them with excited hugs and squeals, massive dance circles on the dance floor and so much more.

Ashley and Bud, your day was incredible. I was honored to be able to spend the day with you. :)
