WEDDING WEDNESDAY | Sam & Roger - Decatur IL Weddings

If you haven't already figured out, weddings are my absolute, without a doubt FAVORITE event to document.  So when Samantha reached out to me about being a part of her courthouse wedding, I was STOKED!  Even more so when I found out she happens to be the sister of one of my ANP brides for NEXT year too!  Without sounding too goofy, I wanted to respond, "so where do I sign up for this, because I am SO in!"

It was a very atypical August afternoon.  It's not uncommon for this time of year, especially with back-to-school being so close, that it is close to unbearable outside.  However, on August 10, there were comfortable temperatures, a really forgiving breeze and tons of love in the air.  I waited for the small gathering of family at the outside of the courthouse, as I tend to always be the first to arrive (yes, I am a dork!)  Shortly after, I saw Sam & Roger walking down the street with the best man, and closely followed by parents, grandparents, siblings and other close relatives.  Our small group of about 15 people piled into the courthouse and headed up the stairs to courtroom 3A at the Macon County Courthouse.  After the "I dos" were said, we headed for family pictures and then it was just the newlyweds and me wandering around the amazing downtown Decatur!

Sometimes when I ask couples to get close for me for pictures, you can sense that they aren't keen on the PDA in front of the camera... this was not the case with Sam & Roger.  They were very much in love and ready to show the world, which was an absolute honor for me to be apart of capturing!

Congratulations you two... I am SO glad I was able to be there for you guys!  Here are some sneaks from their gallery that I am just DYING to share!!
