THE PORTER'S | SPRINGFIELD IL WEDDINGS

After spending time with Dani & Rudy in Jacksonville for their engagement session just a few months back learning about their time at Illinois College, I knew we would have a total blast on their wedding day… and I was so right!

We met up with both Dani & Rudy at their hotel in Springfield while they got ready for their big day with the friends and family. Lots of laughs were had, minimal tears shed, and off we went to Lincoln Park for the first look and bridal party photos! Once we were done there, we landed at our last stop of the day - the Artisan Building at the Illinois State Fairgrounds! Which, by the way, if you have never visited that venue, YOU are missing out. Such an exquisite venue with an rehab urban vibe - and perfect for an intimate wedding!

Half of the venue was set up for the ceremony while the other half was set up for the reception. It was very apparent all the small details were thought of from the old books and antique tea cups on the tables to the hankies being handed out to dry tears during the ceremony. So cool!

Overall the day was amazing, beautiful, fun… all the positive words. As I am with every couple who choses me to spend their wedding day with them, it was a total honor to get to be that person for Dani & Rudy and get to know them. I hope they love their images as much as I do!
